Early in 2005, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD), Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) formed a formal partnership with JustFaith Ministries (JFM). This partnership enabled all four organizations to work together to better support parishioners in the work of addressing poverty. The partnerships also were a way to collectively emphasize and support the important role of social ministry in parish life. Two of these original national Catholic organizations—CCHD and CRS—remain in partnership with JFM.

The mission of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) is to address the root causes of poverty in America through promotion and support of community-controlled, self-help organizations and through transformative education. CCHD's pastoral strategy is to aid in the empowerment of those in the United States who are poor through a methodology of participation and education for justice, leading toward solidarity between the poor and non-poor.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) carries out the commitment of the Catholic Bishops of the United States to assist the poor and vulnerable overseas. They do this by responding to major emergencies, fighting disease and poverty, nurturing peaceful and just societies, and, by serving Catholics in the United States as they live their faith in solidarity with their brothers and sisters around the world.

In 2007, prompted by the success of the JustFaith program in Catholic parishes, Bread for the World became another JFM partner. Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. By changing policies, programs and conditions that allow hunger and poverty to persist, we all provide help and opportunity far beyond the communities in which we live.

In 2009, Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers entered into a three year partnership with JFM. While the formal partnership ended, JFM continues to engage the Fathers and Brothers and to work with Maryknoll’s publishing arm, Orbis Books.

In 2010, Pax Christi USA (PCUSA) became a partner, joining JFM in its work with parishioners to address poverty and build a more compassionate world. With the help of its Bishop members, PCUSA promotes the gospel imperative of peacemaking as a priority in the Catholic Church in the United States and advocates primacy of conscience, economic and social justice, and respect for creation.

In 2012, Pax Christi International (PCI) also became a partner with JustFaith Ministries. As a faith-based network, PCI seeks to transform a world shaken by violence, terrorism, deepening inequalities and global insecurity. PCI works to create a culture of peace and believes that religion should be an unequivocal force for peace and social justice.

The formal JFM partnerships include a financial commitment and allow each partner the opportunity to provide directional support. The partnerships also are a means for all participating organizations to collectively and collaboratively advance their mission and work. While Catholic Charities USA and Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers are not presently formal JFM partners, they remain solid informal supporters of JustFaith Ministries.
